Hey, Illinois.  You are now a CocoState!

That’s right, Cocopotamus handmade dark chocolate fudge truffles are now sold in a 15th state, Illinois.  Check out a big variety of Cocopotamus in Champaign, IL at Cheese + Crackers.  This wonderful specialty food shop is now satisfying your chocolate cravings as well as dishing out wonderful savories such as top cheeses & acoutrements.

Did you know?  Cheese + Crackers will be holding some fab tastings of Cocopotamus.  You do not want to miss the pairing of blue cheese with Mr. French dark chocolate fudge truffle topped with sea salt!  This was first served at Whole Foods & it is a winner!  The comment all around?  “PERFECTION!”

Hey Albuquerque!

Are you ready for some more Cocopotamus?  We will be hand-dipping our handmade dark chocolate fudge truffles at Whole Foods so come on down.

It is all happening tomorrow:  Saturday March 13th, at Whole Foods in Albuquerque on Academy.  Beginning at 1 p.m., we’ll have that dark chocolate flowing.  Yum!

Flavors of the day?  In honor of St. Patrick’s Day, we’ll be dipping our delish “Kiss Blarney”.  Made with pure peppermint & rum, it is perfect for a St. Paddy’s Day party.  Come & try a truffle and you’ll be hooked.

Our second flavor for handdipping tomorrow?  “Hang Loose” – that’s Cocopotamus dark chocolate fudge truffle infused with Hawai’ian coconut.

Cocopotamus Chocolate & The Oscars

Which flavor of Cocopotamus chocolate would you choose for the Oscar stars?  Each of our handmade dark chocolate fudge truffles has such a personality.  Let’s see…

Hosts Steve Martin & Alec Baldwin might like Cocopotamus Blame Canada – yummy maple truffles with a silly name.

For Jeff Bridges & Maggie Gyllenhaal?  We’re thinking of our romantic “Rosie Posy” rose fudge truffles.  That’s a Crazy Heart for ya!

For George Clooney, Colin Firth & Matt Damon?  Hmm…”Hottie” chocolate truffle with cinnamon & New Mexican red chili.

Woody Harrelson seems like a “Gilligan’s Fave” man, he’d be suited to our chocolate fudge truffle made with wild Thai ginger.  Have it on good authority, he loves real Thai food!

Morgan Freeman?  We’re thinking of Cocopotamus “Kiss Blarney” fudge truffle.  And Stanley Tucci has got to try “Godfather” handmade truffle with yummy dark chocolate, rum, toasted almond & Italian espresso.

As for Oscar’s ladies, Sandra Bullock should definitely reach for Cocopotamus “”Planet Marz” (with almond & Kirsch cherry liqueur.)  Helen Mirren & Meryl Streep?  We’re thinking of our dark chocolate fudge truffle infused with Japanese matcha green tea – that’s “Sumos Never Sleep”.

Penelope Cruz is SO a Cocopotamus “Naked Hottie”, no debate there.  That’s the yummiest truffle, dark chocolate with Mexican canela cinnamon.  Yum!  And for Mo’nique?  I think after Precious, she  needs some classic dark chocolate that is sweetness & light – Cocopotamus “Cupcake” fudge truffle.

Oh, Canada!

That’s right, on the heels of all that Olympic fervour, Cocopotamus chocolate is now sold in Canada.  Our neighbor to the north welcomes our handmade dark chocolate fudge truffles.

Starting next week, Coco-P will be sold by a wonderful chocolatier in Montreal, Quebec.  “Les Chocolats Briimstone” features a select range of their own handmade chocolates and will now sell a big array of our Cocopotamus handmade fudge truffles as well.  Most excting?  They will be carrying all 18 flavors of our dark chocolate.

People are always asking questions about what goes on in a chocolate kitchen.  Because our Cocopotamus chocolate kitchen is not a retail location, they get extra curious.  What goes on behind the scenes?!

Well, we do have a video of it (taken inadvertently, with the computer) but staff have begged us not to You Tube it!  Why, you may ask?  Hmmm….in a chocolate kitchen like Coco-P, this is the phrase that comes to mind:

Workin’ hard?  Or, hardly working?!?!?!

Yes, things do get kind of silly.  In the video in question, SOME Coco-heads who shall remain nameless were pretending to be aliens with coordination issues.  (Not me, I’m the straight guy! Honest!)

Today in the chocolate kitchen we are trying our best to get some work done.  This morning we’re rolling out our “Mr. French” dark chocolate fudge truffles sprinkled with fleur de sel gourmet sea salt.  Yum!

Chocolate & The Olympics

Closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics this evening.  And, plenty of people have been finding a need for some Cocopotamus chocolate to go with their Olympic viewing.

For those disgruntled hockey fans?  “Blame Canada”, our dark chocolate fudge truffles made with pure maple.  Perfect choice these days!

Then there are the ever popular  Cocopotamus organic lemon dark chocolate fudge truffle, “Lemon Shiver” (for when life gave your team lemons…).  Or the dark chocolate classic, “Cupcake” (as cute as certain all-American downhill skiers).

And of course, if you need a little last-minute Olympic help, there is always our “CocoLuck”!  Kiss Blarney, Santa’s Addiction, and Sumos Never Sleep – our luckiest combo ever.

Are you feeling lucky?

You will be, with our fun Cocopotamus dark chocolate fudge truffles called CocoLuck.  Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day, we are featuring a seasonal special chocolate set.  Handmade chocolate, of course.  Hand-dipped chocolate, of course.  Yum!

Our “green” chocolate for St. Paddy’s Day includes these flavors of dark chocolate fudge:  Sumos Never Sleep (Japanese matcha green tea chocolate truffles), Kiss Blarney (pure peppermint + rum chocolate truffles) and Santa’s Addiction (pure peppermint fudge truffles).

A bit about our St. Patrick’s Day chocolate.  Why Sumos?  Well, they really are GREEN! Made with pure ceremonial grade matcha from Japan, infused into the dark chocolate fudge.  And for decoration?  They are rolled in matcha sugar.

As for Kiss Blarney, you can’t get more of an Irish vibe then these little cuties.  They are even hand painted with shimmering green after we hand dip ‘em!  We like to say that they taste like Irish coffee in a chocolate.  Actually, Irish coffee is made with Irish whiskey but our fudge truffles are made with rum.  I know, Jamaica is not an Irish isle.  But man, are these good!  Somehow the rum brings more to the party than whiskey.

And now to our final green chocolate, Santa’s Addiction.  One taste of these pure peppmerint fudge truffles rolled in peppermint sugar (they look like little snowballs!) and you will be addiciton, too.  It is Christmas year-round, Santa Baby!

CocoLuck is available now, a total of 15 fudge truffles (5 each of Sumos Never Sleep, Kiss Blarney, and Santa’s Addcition.)
