Video: Chocolate Fudge Making
Posted by: | CommentsAlly and I spent one morning last week shooting a short video on our chocolate fudge making. The real fudge making time for the same amount of chocolate actually takes a couple of hours. We’ve condensed the process to 1 minute just to show the basics of how our fudge is made. The actual recipe, of course, is a secret
. But then again, if Food Network calls, we’ll most likely show the entire the process.

Albuquerque Journal Called
Posted by: | CommentsJust when we achieved Zen like efficiency (or you can call it Zombie-state) making over 1500 chocolate truffles yesterday, a surprise call from the ABQ Journal (our local award-winning newspaper) gave us a pleasant jolt. The reporter interviewed our very own, Ally, for an hour. Cocopotamus will be in the news locally in mid September in the Food section. Yeeeee-Haaaaah!

Enjoying a Chocolate Pie
Posted by: | CommentsWe drove up to Santa Fe last weekend just to deliver a batch of chocolate to Collected Works Bookstore & Cafe. It was their first order from us, so we’re super excited about their addition to the Cocopotamus list of growing family. Afterwards, we went to Zia Cafe for bunch. They have some delicious food. Not too fancy, just down to earth comfort food made well. We ordered a Cocoa pie. For a diner quality pie, it’s not bad. Of course, being in the chocolate business, we’re super picky about chocolate. They used pretty good quality chocolate. Our complaint it’s that it lacks depth. Perhaps a little salt in it will help make the chocolate flavor stands out a bit more. As it is now, it feels a little heavy after half of it. We couldn’t finish the whole thing even between the two of us.
